I can look at your steps and fit in them the same steps we took moving. We sold our business, downsized immensely, sold our home, moved into the home we purchased six years prior and rented out, began a new business, made new friends, etc. I think during the entire process I would suggest others remain open for unexpected things to happen and adjust accordingly. My husband's plan after selling his business was to work for someone else for 7 years and retire. He lost that job after 18 months and after regrouping he began his own biz again. Because he was successful for the prior 25 years he knew how to do it again without too many snags.
