Hi Dragos, I like the way you view & describe those social networks sites. I'm a citizen of Stumble, working very hard to get my 2nd citizenship in Digg, and once a while I travel to Facebook. I have traveled many times to Reddit, FriendFeed, Delicious & Others but still unable to build up my relationship there.

Philip Ze’s last blog post..Journey Beyond Earth For Mankind

Dragos, this is brilliant insight once again! I love your stuff.

I'd have to say that I'm primarily a citizen of Stumble and Facebook, though Twitter, Digg, and Delicious get some of my time as well.
I've been using Stumble to help promote my writing, and I've found that it's very demanding time-wise. Lately I haven't been able to keep up with the pages and pages of stuff people are sending me. Very few of the pages that cross my transom are as insightful as your blog. Keep sending me everything you can!

If these are countries, I've found some "states" or "provinces" that offer the fellowship of a tight-knit community. I write for both Triond and Associated Content and have found both to be VERY helpful for encouragement, support, and writing tips. I also have a small fellowship of friends at my blog, and I highly value the interactions with visitors there.

nutuba’s last blog post..Good Night Shane

@Scott Webb: that's quite an interesting take. It surely tickled my mind while writing this post. Thinking at your blog being a piece of real estate is something really interesting, not only from the money perspective, but mostly from your identity. I'm sure we can talk days about that.

Especially about one thing I haven't touched at all here, but it's always in my mind: what are those countries currencies?

I enjoyed this read. I love the different perspective on the social media fronts.

Question that came up for me and It may result in more thought:

So could we consider our domains/blogs/websites whatever, a form of residence within the digital countries, or the digital universe known as the Internet. It's where I live. I know that people are also making money by 'domain flipping' much like house flipping. Are we at or now past the point of claiming our digital land, as our ancestors claimed their physical land in the past? I feel a close resemblance in these light. It reminds me of personal branding articles I have read as well - trying to claim your name early. I wonder which citizenship would help your value increase the most.

Scott Webb’s last blog post..5 Benefits for HDR Photography

@Mike_King I totally agree with that one. Digital countries are so crowded lately, you really have to do a lot of effort to get something in return. But, as JFK once said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" :-)

@Stephen being old is a mindset, not a fact. So, since you're being accepted, integrated and valued, it results that you're not old at all. :-)
