So, after a very kind discussion with the guys at MindJet, the makers of the popular mind-mapping software MindManager, we concluded that it’s time to give the power to the people! Do you use MindManager? Congrats, but that’s not the point, yet :-) . The point is: how do you use it? Is it for personal use? Is it for writing books, sketching ideas, managing teams, tasks, organisations, soccer games or the mass production of chocolate cookies?

MindManagerGive us your most innovative usage of Mind Manager and you will win one of the two licenses we have for this contest. How do you do that? Well, simply by making a comment to this post and give us some insights. Don’t be shy, and tell us as more as you can about your usage and if you have a blog – you do have a blog, right? – give us some links. Use graphics and diagrams if you have it. We will publish this on our blog and you’ll also receive free exposure.

For those of you who don’t know yet about this product, we kindly ask you to give it a try. It’s a very productive and easy way to organize ideas and almost any kind of informations. And for GTD fans there are also some GTD-workflow implementations using MindManager. If you find it useful, you can also join the contest, you don’t have to be a veteran for that, we are not looking only for experience, but mostly innovation.

The submission will be opened until March 10th, so there’s plenty of time. Remember: give us your most innovative usage of MindManager and you’ll receive a free MindManager license (and we still have one more to go, but more on that after this contest).

Good luck to you all!

Hey, what about using it for organizing your love life? I think I’ll download the trial version and I’ll prepare a nice chart on that.

I use MindManager for the planning of my soaring flights with main branches such as weather, equipment, etc. and most important routing. In the routing branch, I line out the planned route and my alternatives, usually with landmarks (hill x, small lake y) as forking points. Quite useful! :)

Very interesting indeed, it’s the first time I hear that mind mapping is used for flight planning. I wish you could participate earlier in this contest, as for now the submissions are over. You can still participate in the other one, with CV mind mapping. Have a look at the contest announcement. Thanks!
