Dragos,
It was great meeting you at the workshop. I enjoyed your staged time. Next time your here in America go visit the Seqouia forest in California. what a great place that is and definitely no sin and gluttony.

Great recap on the workshop. I'm going to post the link on my FB page so that some of the people asking me questions can get a more detailed description than i provided.

Looking forward to hearing about New Zealand

Hi Dragos,
in regards to your opinion about vegas and the casinos.. I've had the chance to experience the glam and the excessive spending firsthand.
I wasn't very financially conscious during Steve's workshop and I ended up spending so much money during my weekend visit.. and on "stupid" things.

Just wanted to throw my opinion - 1. Vegas is the farthest thing from what America really is. In terms of the partying and living the crazy life, Vegas fulfills that role quite well. But like an oasis in a desert (quite literally), its a mirage to most Americans. I am from California and I have good opportunities to experience the good life of Beverly Hills and the OC, but that's nothing compared to what I experienced in Vegas during my brief stay.
2. Going back to the illusion - I feel that most people will never experience Vegas fully... It is so different from most peoples life of working hard such that they see Vegas as something very foreign and a once-in-a-while-crazy-party-trip. and that contrast is very distinct. Hope that this showed how radical Vegas is compared to other parts of America.
Each city has its personality - Vegas just tends to represent gluttony and sin very well..

Btw.. its my first time here on your blog. I like your website! I'll be coming back frequently :)

Hi Dragos. Some of Steve's writing just got too weird for me. I'm sure I'm further from his positions than you are. He really had and probably still has some great ideas, but he lost me somewhere along the way.

As for Las Vegas, I make a trip out there about once a year with some guy friends and we have a fantastic time. I love it. But it's just a place to go and have some mindless entertainment for people who are in control of themselves. It has no other redeeming values.

Hey, Angela

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment here. First of all, it was really nice talking to you and doing all those 1 on 1 exercises at the workshop :-)

As for Vegas, I really had this strange feeling of not being the "real thing". Looks like an outlet for everything you just can't do in any other part of US. And for that it's not authentic, people are too jazzed and so, far from being authentic.

Take care and don't be shy, just stop by my blog whenever you feel like :-)

VEGAS. Definitely not a good representation of America, Dragos. I was seriously struggling with the gluttony (EXCESSIVENESS of everything) of the Vegas strip. Vegas would be the last place I ever had planned on visiting; but I chose to go there for the workshop.

Although some of the things were fun, for the most part I felt overwhelmed spending so much time there myself. I was very happy to be back in Washington State, my regular sized town once again.

So, as for Vegas being like the rest of the US; not very. I have travelled some around the US - and my favorite other places that didn't resemble Vegas (there is no where like Vegas) were - New York, New York - Tampa, Florida, Honolulu, Hawaii...

Also having taken road trips to Oregon, California, and Idaho - I can definitely tell you nothing is quite as insane as the city of Vegas in Nevada. :D

But it was an experience for sure. If I ever go back to Vegas, it will be for a very brief weekend. I can only take so much of that atmosphere before my poor little brain explodes! My two cents on this.

It was an absolute pleasure to get to know you, Dragos.
