The info about 301 redirects and Stumbleupon would be very pertinent to me, as a large portion of my traffic comes from Stumbleupon but my permalink structure is pretty awful. Thanks Dragos for this post. It offers some great tips for new bloggers. For me, search engine optimization is the hardest part. I write from my heart and I can't always add keywords without destroying the flow. So I choose the good content over SEO optimizing. Thanks for sharing those tools about topsy and su.pr. I was actually wondering about this recently and then you mentioned your upcoming series. Serious synchronicity!

I have an automated tool that posts to twitter right away and I don’t know how I set it up! LOL Can you believe that! I’m going to try to use su.pr more often to see how things go. Just gotta figure out how to stop the automations.

What a great post. I particularly like the bits on SEO – something even the best bloggers forget about in the excitement of creating their blog.

It may also be worthwhile thinking about your blog in the “real world” – by which I mean how do you tell the person you meet in a bar, or at the bus stop about your blog/site. Quite a few of our customers do this with their MiniCards or Business Cards. You may enjoy this blog post on Vanity URLs.

This is so informative. I have recently joined other social media groups and still looking for some new ones.

I have heard Facebook and Myspace so much but been their done that when I was not a blogger and my husband doesn’t approve of those sites but there are so many others he does. lol

This is a great series and I am following it with much interest and gaining much knowledge.
